The blonde singer-and-actress and the American football star shared a meal at Jessica's grandparents' home in Waco, Texas. Simpson previously revealed her ideal man is one she could take home to meet her grandparents. She said, "I definitely love a family man, a guy that's not afraid to pick up the babies. Somebody that wants to meet my grandparents immediately."

According to a source, the 27-year-old star was dining at the Waverly Inn and admirer of hers was so thrilled to see her that when she stood to take a glimpse at her leaving, she fell , crashed into a table for two, sending plates and glasses flying. An onlooker told the New York Post, "This woman sees Jessica leaving and gets up and runs through the crowd to get a peek." "She fell over into the fireplace, but not before she crashed into a table and went down head first. All to see Jessica Simpson," added the source.

According to onlookers, the Huntley Hotel saw the couple arrived separately and chat for over an hour before leaving, reports the Daily Mirror. However, previous reports claimed Jessica was dating former co-star Dax Shepard. “Dax and Jessica met when they were filming together and really liked each other, but nothing ever happened,” a source was quoted, as saying. “They kept in touch, and as soon as they both became single, there’s been some serious flirting going on.” “Dax made the first move. He just thought, ‘Why not?’ Jessica was thrilled when he asked her out,” added the source. Dax Shepard recently split from Owen Wilson’s former fiancée Kate Hudson.
